Removing bees from inside stucco walls.

This home had bees entering under the edge of the stucco. The builder had notched out the sill plate around the electrical grounding rod and left a space large enough for the bees to enter and build a nest under his bathtub.
Cutting open stucco wall  Comb inside wall  After repair
We first cut a hole in the stucco, taking care to keep the cutout intact so it can be replaced When the wall is opened we remove the bees and clean out all the comb. After the cutout is replaced the repair is not apparent
because the cutout maintains the same texture as it did originally.

Here is another home with bees under the bath tub. The bees entered through a gap around the drain pipe left by the builder.
Bees enter here   Prying out the cutout  Vacuuming off the bees
We cut out the piece of stucco, vacuum off the bees, and clean out all the comb.
Cleaning out the comb  Tubs of comb removed  Washing with detergent
We wash down with detergent to remove bee pheromones, the scent bees use to mark "home."
Fillig the cavity  The bee entry closed up  The cutout replaced
Then we fill the cavity with insulation so there is no room for a new infestation, and caulk the opening.
After the wall is repaired and painted
After the cutout is replaced and
repaired there is no visible sign
of the removal.
